Matthew and Andrew are finished their soccer for the season. They had an awesome time. Matthew was the most improved player in his team and Andrew was the one that shot the most goals in his team. It was busy in our household with soccer Mondays to Thursdays. Now that soccer is done, they have a bit more free time to play in the back yard together. We fill the mini pool everyday and they have a blast!
Here are some pictures from soccer and their fans.

30th Manitoba Marathon
I was there. No I didn't run but I was in the thick of things. Every Father's Day on our way to church, we would see the roads closed for the marathon and every time I think, wouldn't it be great to be there. There were about 14,000 participants and about 2,000 volunteers. I didn't want to run so I decided to volunteer. I had the best volunteer position!
My friend, Linsey and I were hosts, We just walked around the crowd before the start to answer any questions. Then we were placed at the start line of the half marathon to make sure the runners didn't trip over the equipment so I saw them take off. What an exciting place to be. Front row seats!! I was standing... Just like you see on TV except that I was there.
Once everyone was off, we moved over to the stadium towards the finish. There they put us on the path to guide the athletics back into the stadium. I was next to all the runner that came through. It was amazing to see the concentration on their faces. The determination! I saw lots of friends, all of them doing the half marathon. I keep thinking maybe I could do this, I just have to get over the fact that I have to run for over 2 hours for a half marathon, plus all that training time. Maybe someday, another goal?!?

Another Triathlon
So I did it! My second triathlon. I did it with Kyle. The sun was shining when I work up first thing in morning so I decided that today was the day. We did the triathlon at Bird's Hill park. The water was 16C and we survived. I really enjoyed the outdoor swim, it was a good experience trying not to swim over people or into people! Learnt lots. I said that I would do a triathlon with a pool swim and a open swim. 2 in 8 days! I was pretty tired after. Here are a couple of pictures.

I am a triathlete
Sunday June 1st was our 12th Wedding anniversary. It was also the date of my first triathlon. It was so much fun. I did the 3o0m swim, 15km bike and 5km run in 65 minutes. I think I am hooked. I was such an inspiration to Kyle that he is doing his first triathlon this Sunday. Only difference is that it is an open water swim. The temperature of the water is 18C. That is pretty cold! He is a trooper. I havn't decided whether I want to do it yet, I am not a fan of the cold water. It will be a different experience. Watch my blog next week to see what happens. Here are a few picturess from last Sunday. You can see Matthew my support group cheering "加油", "add oil".....
